Master of Dental Surgery (Merit)
University of Leeds, 2016–2023
MDSAutonomous from day one. Independent LA experience. Genuinely invested in the patient relationships that make preventive care work. Committed for 18+ months.
I trained at the Leeds Dental Institute, part of the NHS Trust teaching hospital. I worked independently, administered LA on my own, and built real clinical confidence over five years.
A family member needed full-time care. I stepped away from clinical work because it was the right thing to do. During that time I completed 160+ hours of verifiable CPD to stay sharp.
Without a performer number, I cannot work as an NHS associate. Private associate roles typically expect foundation training. Rather than wait, I want to work now, in a role where I can genuinely contribute from day one.
As a GDC-registered dentist, I have full scope of practice for hygiene work. I can manage my own chair autonomously, administer LA independently, spot and flag restorative needs, and build the kind of patient relationships that keep your books full. I am not filling time. This is a deliberate choice.
I plan to apply for DFT when the window opens in September 2026. The selection process takes 12 months, so my foundation year would not begin until September 2027 at the earliest. That means I am fully committed to this role for a minimum of 18 months.

2015The best clinical outcomes grow from genuine relationships. When patients trust their hygienist, they follow through on care plans and come back because they want to. I am committed to thorough, evidence-based preventive care delivered with honesty and warmth, because investing in people is what makes a practice thrive.
Get in touchI build the kind of trust that turns a routine scale and polish into a long-term relationship. Patients who trust their hygienist follow through on care plans and refer others.
Full mouth debridement, 6-point charting, root surface instrumentation, independent LA. I trained at the Leeds Dental Institute and I don't cut corners.
Equally comfortable working independently or as part of a clinical team. I adapt to however your practice runs, and if I spot something restorative, I flag it. A hygienist who thinks like a dentist.
